My favourite meal would start with fresh oysters, if it’s the right time of year. Then Kath’s preferred roast is pork, but mine is a nice big sirloin of aged beef, cooked and then sliced off the bone and served with whatever vegetables are in season. We wouldn’t eat it until about four in the afternoon, and there’s nothing to be done after that but enjoy a lazy, lazy evening. Then suddenly it all comes to an end and I’m back on the road again on Monday morning. |
