I walk the gulf side of this beach from one end to the other and back about once a month. I wish I had the time to do it more often. Each time it's a different experience. Variables include the time of day, the time of year, the tide level, the wind level, and the back and forth natural erosion and rebuilding of a barrier island. The natural erosion has made the nesting areas more exposed to high tides the last couple of years. But those areas seem to be rebuilding again. On any day, it's a great walk. |
