I zigzagged my way from there through charming residential streets of higgledy piggledy wooden houses, up the hill to what is probably Reykjavik’s most recognisable building, the Hallgrimskirkja church. Its stunning 244 foot-high steeple took nearly four decades to build (it was completed in 1986), and the view from the top is breathtaking. |
